The US delegation throws away all Chinese-issued items before leaving 🇨🇳🇺🇸
Before boarding Air Force One in China, members of the American delegation, including President Trump, dumped everything they had received during the visit into a trash bin at the foot of the stairs.
This included accreditations, disposable phones, badges, and other items given by Chinese officials.
Due to extreme cybersecurity concerns, the entire US delegation used only “burner” phones. Their personal devices were stored on the plane in Faraday bags that block all signals.
@369Serena@elonmusk When you are in China using a US phone, you have access through the Great Firewall of China on your data plan. So all of your usual services like X, Facebook, etc., work.
@SaraGonzalesTX I lived in Plano for about 25 years, and I saw the transformation. I sold my house at the top of the market and moved to Puerto Rico. At least I could stop paying taxes into the IRS tax system without renouncing my citizenship.
@sierracatalina Why be nervous? Americans have always had, since before our founding, the right to design and manufacture our own firearms. The Kentucky Long Rifle is the military innovation that some say was the decisive factor in winning our independence from Britain.
Embrace freedom!
I cured a serious digestive health condition in my daughter when she was very young, caused by following the recommendations of traditional medicine. Raw goat and cow milk were the main medicines I used to move her from the bottom quartile in height/weight to the upper quartile in three months.
I'm fine with a continued ban in grocery stores, but I would like to see delivery or dedicated farm stores outside the farm property, with buyers accepting the risk.
@WhiteHouse Thank you for what you have done to stop the overreach in raw milk prosecutions. But what I want is greater legal access to raw milk for those who want to make that choice. Let me buy raw cow and goat milk at my local grocery store.
@BGatesIsaPyscho If your fresh wild-caught fish doesn't have parasites, it's likely unhealthy, as any healthy wild fish will have parasites. That's why you thoroughly cook fresh fish.
Sushi-grade fish is frozen for specific time periods to kill parasites.
@WallStreetApes I grew up in a fishing village in Alaska. Parasites are normal in healthy wild salmon. That’s even more true if it’s fresh and not frozen, which can kill parasites. Don’t throw it away next time, just cook it thoroughly. Fresh wild Pacific red (sockeye) salmon is amazing.
@glennbeck I think it's helpful to clarify that there is a difference between the app and using the model self-hosted. Here is the exact same question asked to the 32b model running locally. It's far from perfect, but it didn't leave out Mao.
@moneytalk_dane@fmohsin84 That's incorrect. Puerto Rico is a US Territory but is a foreign tax jurisdiction under law. Becoming a resident of a US Territory is one of the few ways US Citizens can escape US global taxation.
Harnessing AI in DevOps: The Synergy of Technology and Human Expertise in the Evolving Workplace
Nestled in the bustling heart of San Juan, Puerto Rico, with its business and tech ecosystem thriving around me, I reflect on the ocean's expanse and the unlimited potential of AI in our careers, particularly in technology and the changing landscape of work. My insights are fueled by the dynamic discussions encircling a pressing question: Will artificial intelligence redefine tech jobs, supplanting human skill?
A thought-provoking piece by industry expert Brian Finster addresses this burning issue with an emphasis on DevOps. There's a palpable resurgence of the old debate sparked by automation tools: Can AI eclipse human proficiency in technological roles?
In Brian's compelling narrative, he sheds light on a more optimistic view – AI is not here to replace us but to enhance how we work. Sure, AI can fast-track routine tasks, but it lacks the intricate intuition and sophisticated problem-solving skills that set experienced DevOps professionals apart.
AI serves not as our competitor but as a revolutionary tool to improve system documentation, upgrade a developer's craft, and accelerate the creation of quality code. To maintain our edge in the industry, we must shift our stance and see AI as a powerful collaborator, not an adversary.
As I embrace the tranquil rhythm of the sea greeting the shore here in San Juan, it resonates with me that just like the boundless sea, the seemingly limitless horizons of AI do not render our individual skills less vital; rather, they provide an opportunity to augment them.
Join me in this vital dialogue and let's navigate these burgeoning tech waters together – because the future of work is not a solo journey but a collective voyage.

On Jan. 15 at approximately 4 p.m. (Sanaa time), Iranian-backed Houthi militants fired an anti-ship ballistic missile from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and struck the M/V Gibraltar Eagle, a Marshall Islands-flagged, U.S.-owned and operated container ship. The ship has reported no injuries or significant damage and is continuing its journey.
Earlier in the day, at approximately 2 p.m. (Sanaa time), U.S. Forces detected an anti-ship ballistic missile fired toward the Southern Red Sea commercial shipping lanes. The missile failed in flight and impacted on land in Yemen. There were no injuries or damage reported.
@iluminatibot Healthy fresh salmon will have parasites, as they live in the ocean. This is why it needs to be thoroughly cooked. If you want to make sushi out of fresh fish, you have to freeze it per the recommended temperature and time to kill parasites, which varies by fish.
