Love having the opportunity to learn from our affiliates and all the epic work they provide to encourage learning for all our learners! #ISTELive22 This panel was ever so valuable.
The kids were excited to get a popsicle surprise today! Thank you Dr. Smith, Mrs. Jacques, Ms. Hurley, and Mrs. Homkes for the cool treat! #oneflagstone
Our first day was filled with laughter, friends {new and old}, and lots of collaboration. Ask your child how they saved Sam the Snake (who couldn’t swim and fell out of his boat) without using their hands. Their creative solutions and teamwork were amazing! #oneflagstone

In our last moments together before the school year ended, I revealed my secret gift and they were so excited. We became a family this year through all of the challenges and changes that were thrown our way and this was a great way to show that we will always be connected. 🪴
I have a large Spider Plant in my classroom. The kids loved watering it and helping it thrive. All year, they joked about taking my plant home. I got the idea to surprise them by propagating it and giving them each a ‘spiderling’ plant... {continued in comments} #oneflagstone
I had them each pick a quote and didn’t tell them what it was for. They helped cut it out on the Cricut, weed the vinyl, and some helped add them to the pots. A few began to infer what was happening but I would neither confirm or deny 😉
Making our own salt dough landforms was a great way to show what we learned about fast and slow changes to the Earth. Labeling them and recording our voices on Seesaw was a breeze! #oneflagstone#2ndgraderocks#2ndgradescience#seesawlearning
We introduced arrays in math today. Best part? Getting to eat our Cheez-Its afterwards. Food always makes learning more fun. 😆 #oneflagstone#2ndgraderocks
Today was a great day to take my littles to cheer on some of my students during their lacrosse and soccer games! I love supporting my students outside of the classroom too. 💕 #oneflagstone#RelationshipsMatter#wholechildeducation
Today we built and exploded mini volcanoes to learn how the Earth changes. After each explosion, we marked where the magma flowed and added new clay building up the next layer of the volcano. #oneflagstone#2ndgraderocks
We finished decorating our door (based on a book) for the Fun Run to support the purchase of new books for the school library. We love how it turned out and can’t wait to hear who won the competition. All of the doors look amazing! #oneflagstone
For Earth Day, we took a walk outside, picked up trash, and looked at how we could recycle the plastic. We washed our new treasures and turned them into greeting cards. We loved getting to help the Earth and making others happy at the same time! #EarthDay#HappyMail#oneflagstone
