We have five healthy butterflies! They are slow moving around at the moment as it looks like they are letting their wings dry out. Once they begin to move a bit more, I will release them and they can go about feeding and eventually lay an egg to start to life cycle all over again
This is a padlet we have made which gives quick links to some great online resources for Junior Infants. Please share with other parents in our class who might not be on Twitter and let them know that there are lots of ideas on the school website too. https://t.co/lUJNq6UkGs
If you would like to collect your child's text books details of how to do so for each individual class will be sent by text. There will be a weekly plan of work published on the school website and linked here for next week also. Text books are not required for this work.
The collection of books is spread over two days. Each class was given a specific time to avoid crowding and social distancing will be observed also. It is giving parents the option to collect books but it is not compulsory. Stay healthy all!
Edco have made Bua na Cainte available to download at home. Go to https://t.co/G6qaP40x97 and use the word 'trial' when asked for username or password to login. I'm sure the children will love a chance to practice some of their Gaeilge with you at home.
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mammies of the boys and girls in Room 2. Not forgetting all the other great grown ups who help to take such good care of them too. ๐
Starting today, each weekday we will post an activity sheet themed around one of the animals at Dublin Zoo that your kids can work to complete using the information on our website.
So letโs kick things off with the red panda. Download here: https://t.co/oG1ZYI4NN6

There are lots of great ideas in the kid zone section of our school website for activities while school is closed. Plenty of reading stories, jigsaws, lego, drawing, colouring, play doh etc. Don't forget to keep washing your hands and follow HSE advice. Take care
Thank you so much to all the Grandparents who came to visit us today. It was a lovely afternoon for everyone. The children learned about what school was like for their grandparents and we taught our visitors about school today. The whiteboard was a big hit! #grandparentsday
Our Aistear theme this month is the Arctic. We have animals from Arctic and antarctic in the investigation station with ice and water. The children are ice fishing in the role play area and building igloos at the construction station.
Our read aloud book this week is The Smartest Giant in Town. We found some rather large items in our room today... We think George the Giant may have left them for us to explore. We are going to listen to the story in English and as Gaeilge an tseachtain seo.
Back stage nerves... Waiting to go on stage yesterday for our performance in the Christmas show. There was no need to worry as the children were fantastic ๐ ๐ ๐
