Over the first 4 years, the Big Beautiful Bill adds nearly $2 trillion to our deficit, beyond the deficit that would have been caused by Biden level spending. That’s right, Republicans have increased spending, and I’m taking all kinds of heat for calling them out on the betrayal.
You can like President Trump and still support @massieforKY. Thomas stands for a lot of the same principles as the President, but brings an independent spirit we should want in every legislator.
MTG just said the quiet part out loud.
“You can’t vote your way out of this.”
“Winning the midterms is not going to lower your health insurance.”
“Winning the midterms is not going to stop election fraud.”
“Winning the midterms isn’t going to change much in Washington, D.C.”
“It certainly is not going to do anything about the national debt.”
“We have a balanced budget amendment that every single year, it gets re-introduced into Congress.”
“We all co-sponsor it.”
“But no matter who the House Speaker is, Republican or Democrat, they never bring it to the floor for a vote.”
“Same thing, we have a term limits bill.”
“A whole bunch of us co-sponsor it every single Congress, they never bring the term limits bill to the floor for a vote.”
“The people are going to have to refuse to support the political industrial complex.”

A few reminders:
Trump IS a malignant narcissist.
With him, there is NO bottom.
He WILL get worse.
He CANNOT pivot.
As bad as the things he's done are, things we don't yet know he did, are WORSE.
And things he was talked out of doing (so far) are WORSE STILL.
When the day comes, he won't want to go down alone.
(We call ourselves Duty To Warn for a reason.)
Worth pointing out that when the Duty To Warn Coalition was formed, our first act was a petition from mental health professionals to Congress, asking them to enact the 25th Amendment. 75K signed on. Not a peep from Congress. Not an inquiry, asking: "Why do 75,000 expert doctors feel that way?"
Nobody's asking why now.
@FmrRepMTG Thank you for drawing my attention to this. I had been unaware that Trump was doing this to @RepThomasMassie, but given Trump's well-established behavioral patterns, I am not the least bit surprised. #EpsteinFiles
@NancyMace Appreciate you having the courage and making the effort to share this, even though it might upset “leadership”. Yes please to term limits and a ban on stock trading for members of Congress.
Trump and Hegseth officially declare that my fellow Californians and I are in "rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States."
Feels like maybe they should go ahead and kick our state out of the Union.

@elonmusk@BillAckman@realDonaldTrump@elonmusk If you mend fences with Trump, he will mistreat you again in the future and this cycle will repeat. This is an absolute certainty. His patterns of behavior are very consistent and predictable. Ask a psychiatrist to help you learn how to predict what he will do.
A thread about whether the global – and American – center-left needs a different kind of liberalism. These are thoughts triggered by Trump’s victory in the United States and the swing against mainstream incumbents in many other elections around the world.
@ryandavidwill Ryan - sounds like you know a thing or two about bankruptcy. Is your company now an unsecured creditor? What happened? I asked WeWork in late Oct if they protected members’ security deposits in a bankruptcy-remote vehicle (this can be done)
@Chris_Mischler@Upflex@LiquidSpace@hubblehq Spot on. I doubt many people realized this as understanding how bankruptcy works is far from intuitive. Do you know what happened to members’ security deposits after WeWork filed for bankruptcy?
