Hey @edpuzzle community, I’m watching the coaching video in module 6.3 and noticed this teacher talking about her students “doing a blast” What is a “blast?”
Tim Chlaupek's senior season probably didn't turn out the way he wanted it to — until Saturday. Story via @EricRueb. @psd_ri@trezvants https://t.co/gn7aRHBm31
Dear fellow teachers,
I am sorry that you felt the crushing blow of “shame on you” and the outright claim that you have “thrown the towel.”
Whether your district has closed their doors or not (mine is open), you are giving your all. You are not alone.
Love,
Ms Carlson
Dear Everyone,
This is what counts: You are alive. You are trying. You are more than enough. You are surviving.
You are in the middle of conquering likely the greatest obstacle you will ever face.
You can do hard things.
Love,
Ms. Carlson
Today, while teaching in person learners + learners on zoom I had a whoops and said, “Reverend Parris is kind of a d*****bag.” But the real word...
😳👩🏫👩💻🤦♀️ sums it up.
I’ve learned more about teaching in the last two days than I have in the last 3 years as a public educator.
I cannot possibly accomplish everything I’d like to before the first day.
But... I can show up on Monday, ask kids about their summer, listen to kids’ concerns, and share what I do know.
I can (and will) be there. And that is going to be enough.
@Mrs_DeVoe@JayWamsted 7th grade is a special kind of awesome. Most still see the magic of learning and want more! Don’t be afraid to pause teaching to laugh with them every once in a while - making you laugh and smile will be their daily objective for you!
Ed. twitter - best iPad apps for: notes, grading, feedback, assignment submission, anything teacher-y. Bonus points if the grading apps allow for use of the pencil & my handwriting for feedback. Double bonus points if feedback apps don’t require individual submission downloads ✌️
If you told me Sep ‘19 that I would be using Zoom to read my end of year letters to my classes AND that I’d be doing that from my childhood home, I would have laughed in your face. But here I am doing exactly that.
to my fellow teachers across the state and country, happy “first day” of school! I cannot wait to learn from this experience and from our students.
To all who are also playing the role of parent/homeschool teacher/care giver, I double salute you.

Would 3 Twitter friends please copy this text and pass it on?
How are you helping your students reflect and express gratitude this week?
I’m doing the same letter writing activity I always do. It always brings out the tears AND brings the class together ❤️
