As a Marine veteran, I find it deeply disturbing that @seanmdav would attempt to run with this story, searching for clicks.

I love America, I love the flag. Enough to sign my name up to defend our country. If for one second I thought that @CUBuffs, @DeionSanders, @RickGeorgeCU or anyone involved with @CUBuffsFootball didn't support either (the flag or the county), I could promise you wholeheartedly that I would not support them.

Instead of talking up a rivalry, you've fabricated, added to, and shared an entire story that is wrong. It's no longer a game in the eyes of fans. You've somehow turned this into a battle of Americans vs. UnAmerican.

Do the kids really deserve that? Because they will certainly be lumped on with all this? I get it, our team has all the eyes, and a ton of hate, but to put it into this type of situation is absurd.

I know firsthand the university supports all veterans and the flag, as well as current military members. Tomorrow, I'll put on my CU shirt with the flag, my CU hoodie that has the flag, my CU hat that has the flag and support my team and university.

If any of you want to believe that bulljunk being spewed by a few accounts, I truly feel bad for you.
