@ChatPhysics Everyone loves space. I’m going to give a promotional talk to Y9s on the joys of A level Physics in Janeth. And I’m going to talk about space and particles. Sometimes I dream about teaching the whole of a level Physics using only examples from space.

@TeachingDrNik @MrTs_NQTs @adamboxer1 @tes Use MCQs to identify misconceptions but use fingers to answer (1 finger=A 2 fingers =B etc) so no marking or processing after class and no time lost logging in. Scribble down whole class responses of concern in your note book and address next time.

@ChatPhysics I use Isaac Physics and encourage students to do the challenges. For each topic, I set optional wider reading lists of online sources including podcasts and videos. Otherwise I am limited by capacity. I only have so much time! And it’s just me.

@j_phys @ChatPhysics We do compulsory intervention for all off target students, perhaps like you. It’s hard to pitch when you have students on a U and on a B in the same intervention!

@mrbakerphysics @ChatPhysics So many of my students know the physics but don’t interpret the question correctly and fail to score marks so tracking similar questions is very helpful for them.

@ChatPhysics I also give them a reflection sheet so they can look for common issues eg poor scores on graph questions.

@ChatPhysics I write short comments and marking codes on ss papers. I give whole class feedback on a sheet with exam tips and common mistakes for paper. I go through some questions in class. Ss get ‘remedial questions’ depending on their abs to do for homework and must redo wrong questions.
