Still sharing awesome stuff I find every day on @TutorGroupThink
Interesting stuff for you to share with your tutor group or other classes.
Share wide and make the (excessive) I spend on the internet worthwhile.
@MAKE2105 This adds a week to the previous all the way down. Then select the lot, copy and paste values to replace the equation so you an sort and filter etc.
@MAKE2105 Hi, always warms my dark cold soul to hear this helps people!
I've changed for this years dates, but basically I type the date in each of the rows for the first week, then type "=", click the first date, then type "+7", then drag that all the way down.

34 years ago Voyager 1 turned its cameras back to Earth as it was leaving the solar system forever. That picture remains the most distant of Earth ever taken. In it the Earth is just a Pale Blue Dot. Show your tutees this incredible picture.

Some questions for your class tomorrow:
Is album art art?
Does it matter now we stream everything?
Celebrate Storm Thorgerson's birthday tomorrow with TutorGroupThink

Love tomorrow’s TGT. Did you know Kenya recently gave everyone a new national holiday and asked them to plant trees during it? I think that’s an amazing idea.

@eddedmondson This is true of most rating systems now.
Etsy sellers need to average 4.9/5
Uber drivers start getting hassled at 4.8/5
It’s nonsense. Red/amber/green would be far fairer and more transparent.
No offence, but your -10 to 10 idea is bad. What’s the difference between 7 and 8?
@MBDscience Yup.
Late stage capitalism decided than any spare capacity is wasted profit.
Optimisation has gone too far. Good podcast on the Long Now about it yesterday.
@DrWilkinsonSci Well the replies to this are a nice piece of evidence next time someone asks "So come on Chris, has Twitter really got that bad? It's just a name change."
@EmathsUK@bennewmark So the solution to Musk trying to aggressively ruin this website is to spend time, on a regular basis, aggresively curating.
Yeah, I think I'm just going to stick to Threads!
Every time I've dropped in here over the last few weeks it's somehow worse.
@edwardjtaylor @JamesHarrisNow Or, maybe that's what motorways are supposed to be like, and we've just forgotten what a bit of capacity and smooth flow looks like?
@MrKhairi_ Pretty much, especially in a school.
At 9am you aren't about to get a dozen chunky emails, because (nearly) everyone is teaching.
In a delayed recieve culture you might be about to get a deluge.
Getting an email when you've just had the time you'd want to work on it is awful.
@MrKhairi_ Is it really empty, or is delayed receive (as it should be called) about to dump a load in there?
In a delayed recieve heavy culture you never really know what the true state of your inbox is.
