After creating simple, series and parallel circuits in science, we created a circuit using lemons!! It was so neat to see our LED lights light up with lemons, pennies and nails replacing the power source of a battery!
Showcasing our last WOW WORK Wall before we put up some new artwork! These art pieces were completed in February and incorporated Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day and the art style called Zentangles! My grade 6/7 class did such an amazing job!
Last week to start Nowruz on a high note, we read The Significant Seven by @ArmitaBrown, participated in a breakout room activity to learn about Nowruz and even had traditional Persian tea which was brought in by one of my students!
Happy Lunar New Year to everyone celebrating! This year is the year of the Tiger, an animal that symbolizes bravery, strength and confidence. This zodiac sign is the sign of the grade 6’s in my class!
Today is #BellLetsTalk Day. The students in my class wrote personal messages about mental health, discussed the ways in which we cope with stress/manage mental health and brainstormed how we can help end the stigma!
