🐶 6-year-old Male Pit Bull Terrier | 53 lbs

Sometimes the best connections happen when you least expect them.

One volunteer set out to meet a different dog that day but accidentally stopped at the wrong kennel. There sat Moody🐾🐾, a handsome boy whose soulful eyes immediately caught their attention. It turned out to be a happy mistake because Moody🐾🐾 quickly proved he was someone special.

The moment he stepped out of his kennel, his entire personality seemed to brighten. He walked eagerly beside his volunteer, taking in every moment of freedom. Once he reached the play yard and the leash came off, Moody🐾🐾 let his joyful side shine! He bounced around, released some of that pent-up shelter energy, and showed off just how smart he is by responding beautifully to gentle guidance.

But what truly stole hearts was his affectionate side. After a few moments of play, Moody🐾🐾 happily ran over for attention, leaning in for pets and soaking up every bit of love. Beneath his playful energy is a sweet, soulful dog who simply wants to be someone's beloved companion.

🆘🐾 — Urgent Senior Plea 🐾🆘

- Two Seniors in Desperate Need — 🐶🐶💔

We are urgently seeking homes for two senior Shar Pei–Pitbull mixes.

Originally thought to be around 6, we now believe they are closer to 10–13 years old.

Both are heartworm positive, and while we are ready to begin treatment, we do not want them to start it in the shelter. They need quiet, stable homes where they can safely begin recovery.

- Their Background — 🌧️🏚️
Their former owner cared for them, but due to limited resources and lack of education, they lived outdoors their entire lives, which led to their heartworm status. We’ve received two different stories — they may be brother and sister or dad and daughter — but what we know for certain is that they are not bonded.

- Separate Homes Preferred — 🐾💛
While they walk well together and coexist without issue, they do squabble like many family members do, and we strongly prefer they go to separate homes. Each senior deserves their own peaceful space and individualized attention in their golden years.

- Their Temperament — 🐕‍🦺✨
Both seniors are:
- Good with calmer dog companions with proper introductions
- Easy to walk
- Housebroken in their kennels
- Up to date on all vaccinations
All they need is a safe, loving home to finally rest and decompress.

- Why This Is So Urgent — ⏳💔
At their age, with heartworm disease and no interest so far, their time at the facility is truly running out. We do not want them to transition from foster to adopter at this stage of life — they need adopters now, people willing to give seniors the dignity, comfort, and compassion they deserve.

She also does her agility course and is very good at it. Low-no shed and does great with training (she’s really food motivated!) she does well with older kiddos and is pretty laid back. She’s been through lots of training and loved it!"
