It’s crazy how the Bible is often condemned for being so patriarchal, when the fact is patriarchy is actually the result of the fall…the consequences of the choice Adam and Eve made

God gives us free will, but we should also be very ready to accept the consequences.

What really stands out to me in Genesis 3 is that yes the judgement was real but mercy still sneaks in!

God clothes them…like a parent who after punishing a child, hugs them and gives them food to it

God disciplines without withdrawing love
