Amazing presentations today from @ErrolLeemusic The students of @SMGTCDSB walked away inspired to be their best self and the importance of inclusive community. 👏
Every fellow parent of school aged kids in Ontario has spent the last few days agonizing about delayed news about school plans, confusing news about severity in kids, distressing news about lack of testing and tracing. How is this where we are at two years in? #COVID19
No matter what happens in the next 48 hours…..I’m not coming back from this holiday season in a rested/ content/ fulfilled version of myself….I’m coming back anxious/ overwhelmed/ emotional/ confused. Neither my family or students will get the best me. Let’s be kind.
A couple days late, but I’m fully vaccinated now!! This one might have been a little tougher on my body, but I’m so grateful to be able to be one tiny step closer to getting more things open.
All of this!!! I struggled so hard going virtual because there was no noise. I felt awful feeling like I was connecting with the students. I can not wait to embrace the return of noise. The NOISE of School https://t.co/ZtwtRLu1AO via @YouTube
Thanks @jgregross1 and @Maureen__Murphy for the kind words. We worked on self care last week with the students and recognizing our feelings.....can’t quite pinpoint what I’m feeling anymore.
Woot! Woot! Got vaccinated today!! I’m so excited to take this little step to get my kids back into activities, my students @SMGTCDSB back in school, and to ease my mind that my health will remain strong!
@ppovolo@SMGTCDSB Hahahha yes. We laugh now. But utterly terrifying to have metal tents lifting in the air with ease. We learned two things, buy the longest stakes possible and aerodynamics matter
