can’t believe it’s April. we are enjoying integration, special presentations, weekly community outings and our integrated lifeskills program, all while continuing to raise the bar academically. I am so proud of these kids, our team, and the program we’ve built. on to next year!
getting grumpy @ The Grumpy Bear! overheard today by our students: “we’re serving XYZ and this vegan gluten free option” “would you like a to go cup or a reusable cup?” “here is your change, I gave it in loonies so it’s easier to carry” and “thank you for supporting our class!”
heading off the swimming pool after mapping our bus routes to the rec centre and back. practising life skills, community safety, and self regulation out in the world. thank you OC Transpo for our annual training passes!
the treats are next level at The Grumpy Bear Coffee Co lately! I am simply amazed at our students’ growth through this life skills project. I am enjoying collecting data on how it has helped bridge the gap between specialized programs and the mainstream school for my #PQP2
IMPORTANT: All OCDSB Schools and Administration Buildings will be closed tomorrow, Friday, December 23rd. Students and staff should remain home. There will be no learning activities taking place on Friday, including virtual schools. Learn more: https://t.co/rsdqWHXTbh
Team 104 S’s discussed that we can demonstrate #generosity in a variety of ways other than money; we can use our time, skill, and attention. Today we created these beautiful pieces of art to be auctioned off to help raise money for the @OttawaFoodBank @mscorbett131@CSHUOttawa
it’s finally here! we have been working so hard on our integrated life skills project. today we open up to serve staff hot coffee and tea and fresh baked goods!
Team 104’s first annual trip to the Ottawa 67’s school day was a huge success! On our best behaviour, so well organized, and a 7–1 win for Ottawa! Can’t wait for next year!
Well that was stinky! but SO WORTH IT!! S’s @SWCOCDSB examined their egg experiments. These scientists developed a hypothesis and then used their observation skills to describe what changes occurred. So much excitement and learning in room 104! @mscorbett131@CSHUOttawa#Science
my recommendation for a successful Mon H’ween: get the special done before 11am, slow everything right down - spend more time being mindful, transitioning, and quiet work time, and have a regular and calming afternoon. Way too much overstimulation coming tonight for our kids.
