So, a lot of people ask me why I buy so many books. The truth is, I have a genetic disorder where my body doesn’t produce enough books of its own, so I have to supplement.
@WalkerBooksUK could someone please get in touch with me to discuss our year 4s, who are writing a sequel to Frindleswylde (Literacy Tree planning)? They've decided they need a real audience for their sequel narratives - which is you! TIA! 🙂
This is shocking...
This is what's happening in education right now...
We must do better. When did children get taken out of all decision-making?
We must put children back at the heart of education.

@MissEveritt_ On my interview last year (successful!), I taught year 4 and used A.F. Harrold's "Perils Of Breakfast" poem, they then wrote their own versions. This was a LOT of fun! Good luck!
I feel like the children are really getting a lot out of story time when one of them later insults the other by calling him "Sally Bones"!! Secretly very proud 😂 @whatSFSaid
The Easter Benny is here with a #giveaway! To be in with a chance of winning ALL THREE Lenny Lemmon books by me and James Lancett, simply follow and RT.

Winner will be chosen on 7/4.
Improving attendance in schools isn't a standalone issue. It's not about forcing children through the door or finding a quick fix. Addressing the SEND crisis, increasing funding for CAMHS & trying to ensure that schools have consistent staffing would all have an enormous impact.
Finally got my bookshelves in order. To celebrate here’s my last #bookgiveaway for a while 😅They’re all brilliant.
Follow and Retweet by midnight Monday 4th for a chance to win them all.
Open to any Primary school in UK. I’ll pick a random winner and post to you 📚🎁🚚❤️
There are a couple of pupils who occasionally come to my classroom at lunchtime and read. Today, they spotted Sulwe at the front of our picturebook box. There was absolute joy when they saw a character who looked like them. Representation in books really matters.
@ClodaghSnarks@EmmaDee77 That's what we are doing this year. If some children/parents have already sorted a dress-up option, they can wear it, but there is no pressure for those who haven't yet.
EDUCATORS and LIBRARIANS! These picture books need a new home. Want them? To enter to win them: follow me and like/retweet this tweet. Bonus entry: tag a pal who you think might want these books, too!
@joshuaseigal I used "I Don't Like Poetry" for my reading fluency Inset session for our staff today. Great text to model echo reading and how to explore reading aloud with expression for the children. Thanks for the inspiration!
This was an excellent interview and worth catching up with. I think that all of us in education are feeling some level of hope that major changes must now happen within Ofsted. Professor Walters spoke with such eloquence and wisdom. #RuthPerry#@Ofstednews
