@EricIdle, I attended the final matinee performance of Spamalot in Seattle yesterday, and saw the show in a previous run years ago. During both runs the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl. Just what influence does this show have on sports championships?
The time has come, X user began his question:
If I’m not interested in an ad on X, must I pay to skip the ad, or is that too silly a suggestion?
But wait a bit, X cried, showing ads or being paid not to is how we make our dough. X, the ads nauseum tempt me not to stay but to go.
@NPRinskeep My late father was scolded by the president of his company-Seattle Times-for Dad’s use of a pun, “Young man, don’t you know a pun is the *lowest* form of humor?” He knew.
@NPRinskeep, pun away to the delight (& pained wincing) of we who know the pun is mightier than the sword!
@nprscottsimon@YouTube My press photographer- and sometimes-irreverent Catholic- father occasionally reminded us that everyone at the Last Supper was on the same side of the table “so they could all be in the picture”.
@carrieprice78 I’m imagining other works being likewise gutted:
Rosenkrantz…are, er, is dead
The Agony
War
The Fall of the Third Reich
Beethoven’s 4-1/2 Symphony
Either Much Ado, or About Nothing, but not both
Goldilocks
Yet, something has to be cut in each?
@CharlesPPierce A friend’s sister took up dancing - tap, I would think - inspired after seeing the White House staircase dancing descent sequence (to “Yankee Doodle Dandy” melody) in the finale.
