Good news! 30 APS schools earned scores of 100 in the Closing Gaps category of the Georgia Department of Education’s 2024 College and Career Readiness Performance Index!  

The Closing Gaps category, one of five measurements used on the #CCRPI, measures the extent to which  all student groups are meeting their annual targets in improving academic achievement based on the Georgia Milestones assessments. The 5th Annual Toy Drive at Kimberly Elementary, hosted by Blact ATL, [ Black Leaders Advocating Cultural Theatre ] Inc. in partnership with the Aurora Theatre, was a remarkable success. With three hundred students receiving various toys, books, instruments, and STEM-focused gifts, the event radiated joy as participants engaged in craft activities and holiday performances. This uplifting occasion brightened students' hearts and inspired local artists and community leaders to give back and serve.
