Hello #teachersofx I have lost my original account and have had to start over. My #clearthelist can use some love as I am trying to rebuild my following. Thanks for all the support.

Teachers are carrying a lot right now. Let’s give each other a little grace and encouragement. A repost, like kindness, is free. If you can, help #SupportAClassroom with a sprinkle to a #DonorsChoose or a small purchase from a #ClearTheList. Any help is appreciated. #BeAGoodHuman

My @DonorsChoose project still has a 2x match. I don't know how long that will last.
The best time to help a project reach lift off is when there is a match.
Remember this a a tax deductable donation.
Books for kids can never go wrong in the classroom.
Please take look, sprinkle if you can and RT to help get it seen.

Very Important!
PLEASE CHECK ON YOUR TEACHERS.
I’m a teacher in your community.
Today I taught reading, math, science or history.
But I also gave food to a hungry child.
Calmed a child who couldn’t calm themselves.
Listened to a child tell me something that broke my heart.
Sat beside a student who felt completely alone.
Tried to understand the behavior everyone else was frustrated by.
And somehow, I kept teaching.
Then the bell rang.
But I didn’t stop thinking about them.
Are they safe tonight?
Did they eat?
Will someone hug them?
What will they walk into when they get home?
Could I have done more?
We call it compassion fatigue. Secondary traumatic stress. Burnout.
But sometimes it just feels like carrying a little piece of every struggling child home with you.
Tomorrow morning, I’ll come back.
I’ll smile.
I’ll open my door.
And I’ll be the calm, safe adult they need again.
I’m not asking you to feel sorry for me.
I’m asking our community to remember:
The people taking care of our children need someone taking care of them, too.
Check on a teacher.
Thank a bus driver.
Encourage a counselor.
Support a principal.
Show some grace to the school secretary who has already handled 37 problems before 9:00 a.m.
And advocate for schools to have the mental-health support both children and adults desperately need.
Because when we take care of the people who take care of our kids…
we take care of our kids.

@LHBLovesEdu@BlueGiving Yes I do, but we are all feeling it together. It’s a daily conversation on what we can do, and how we can do it. We’re trying but I’d be lying if it didn’t say it is stressing me out.
@LHBLovesEdu@BlueGiving All subjects, Math is the hardest though, 4th grade math can be difficult if students haven’t mastered previous years skills and concepts.
@LHBLovesEdu@BlueGiving I teach 4th, all subjects except Science, my partner teacher handles that while I teach Social Studies. We also are housing another school in our building while their building is being rebuilt. Their presence brings a different vibe to the building as a whole.
Before I head out for a long weekend, I want to give back to those who give so much for our kids.
My Twitter kid @DietCoke_Esq created to coolest project to help teachers #clearthelist
While the school year is underway, these hero’s of the classroom still could use our help.
Lots of these lists have many items under $10.
And you don’t need to buy anything to help. Even a like or retweet of this post goes a long way!
At the very least take a look and let Keeks know what a great job she’s done! https://t.co/ADLvbcAG1y
@raffel@TeachinginStyl3@DietCoke_Esq I’m on this list but under a different Twitter handler. My old account got hacked, should I do anything about that?
@LHBLovesEdu@BlueGiving Thank you hun. I’ve never had a class like this before. I’m hopeful that things will turn around, but I truly don’t know. The yearning for learning is decreasing and I don’t know how to combat that.
The week is barely getting started, but teachers are already running on caffeine, patience, and a whole lot of heart. If you can, #SupportAClassroom and help a teacher #ClearTheList with a repost, a sprinkle to a #DonorsChoose, or a small gift from their wishlist. Every little bit helps. #BeAGoodHuman
