In class, we just got done discussing greenhouse gases and this is a great way for students to see how we can turn that extra CO2 into something useful.

@CMS612Science @CharMeckSchools @stocking_cms @MrsAKeith @MissEscotoSci @Jazziotomic @Ms_KRamsey @MsKimMayes @GreenleafPaul This article aligns to Earth Science standards EEn. 2.1.1., 2.1.2 and 2.1.4.

This is a great resource to use when I teach volcanoes!

@CMS612Science @CharMeckSchools @stocking_cms @MrsAKeith @the_Dewdly @missgasser @MissEscotoSci @Ms_KRamsey @Mrs_OTScience I would discuss the key details first about the cell reproduction and explain what fasting is and try to challenge my students to try it out for a day and record how they feel! (if they wanted 😀) and tie that back in with cell reproduction process.

Health standard!

@CMS612Science @CharMeckSchools @stocking_cms @BigI_Heel @MrsAKeith @the_Dewdly @missgasser @MissEscotoSci @Ms_KRamsey @Mrs_OTScience This is great! I have heard the same thing about intermittent fasting (I.F.) and how it regenerates cells. I.F. is where you eat within a certain time frame of the day. I'm excited to try the 24 hour one. myself! 😀 #mindovermatter

@CMS612Science @stocking_cms @BigI_Heel @MrsAKeith @Ms_Kinsaka @the_Dewdly @missgasser @MsShade1 @MissEscotoSci @Jazziotomic @MrsFord_Science @Ms_KRamsey @MsKimMayes @GreenleafPaul @MsFields704 @Mrs_OTScience I would use this article to introduce Earthquakes. This articles allows for students to see the backstory on measuring Earthquakes and why measuring them is an important thing to know and understand.

@CMS612Science @MrsFord_Science @GreenleafPaul @stocking_cms @MrsAKeith @MissEscotoSci @Jazziotomic @Ms_KRamsey @MsKimMayes @MsFields704 This article aligns to multiple Earth Science standards! EEn 2.1.1, 2.1.2 and 2.1.4

It shows how even when we aren't trying to find one thing, we can end up discovering something great and unexpected!

[Leatrice Dixon @MsDixonEES]

@CMS612Science I try to incorporate literacy on a weekly basis by having students read articles based on current topics we are discussing in class! I use either Newsela or CK-12.

[Leatrice Dixon @MsDixonEES]

@Mrs_OTScience @MsFields704 @Ms_KRamsey @the_Dewdly @BigI_Heel @CMS612Science I found that Biology standards Bio 4.1.3 which deals with enzymes and 3.2.3 dealing with genetic traits and the environment line up with this in addition to the Earth Science standard EEn 2.8 about sustainability

Happy Monday! Let's make today great!

[Leatrice Dixon @MsDixonEES]

@Mrs_OTScience @CMS612Science @the_Dewdly @missgasser @Ms_KRamsey @MissEscotoSci @Jazziotomic @GreenleafPaul @stocking_cms I enjoyed this story about "accidental" science! The scientists weren't really looking for this enzyme, but it was discovered anyway. If this was accidental, just image how great this will be once they complete the research! Hopefully this will help reduce some of plastic waste.

Interesting! https://t.co/X2RLrdazg8

@CMS612Science Absolutely! I got the rubric from Tech 4 Learning and modified it based on my needs! https://t.co/sM1Vkrt0Bo

My students are currently working on songs about the water cycle! Can't wait for their performances on Friday! #science #watercycle #musicineducation

@CMS612Science @stocking_cms @BigI_Heel @MrsAKeith @Ms_Kinsaka @the_Dewdly @missgasser @MsShade1 @MissEscotoSci @Jazziotomic @MsKimMayes @Ms_KRamsey This resource was great! Looking through the standards for Physics and Chemistry, I see that PH Y2.3 and CHM 1.3 and 1.2 fit with this resource!

@CMS612Science @ENERGY @MsKimMayes @MsFields704 @stocking_cms @MrsAKeith @Ms_Kinsaka @the_Dewdly @missgasser @MsShade1 @MissEscotoSci @Jazziotomic @Ms_KRamsey I enjoyed how this article fuses together biology, anatomy, engineering and technology into one cohesive article. The way the article breaks down the mechanisms used to create the smell sensors and tie them to their biological component will help student relate to this topic.
