I feel sorry for India’s film fraternity.

They are soft targets. But who is responsible for their misery? And are they willing to make amends?

It’s reached a point where you haven’t just lost your voice but also your right to have an opinion. And that’s because most of you have willingly become pawns in the hands of the party in power, BJP. Remember the times pre 2014, when you could freely crack jokes on price of petrol among other things - without fear of ED or IT raids. But can you today say a word on petrol beyond ₹100, tomatoes at ₹160 or Manipur violence? No you wouldn’t dare to!

So what changed? NOT much. You simply stopped standing up for yourself. Today, instead of showing solidarity you look the other way when many from your own industry are targeted and attacked. You have allowed yourselves being pummelled by brute majoritarianism.

Most of you are talented, hardworking, highly influential people - knowingly or unknowingly you impact millions of lives - through your characters, through your work.

To be bullied or not be bullied - is a CHOICE. A choice you need to make for no one else - but YOURSELVES first.

The Chhattisgarh govt has received a GST compensation of ₹581.0199 crores from the Central govt against a due of ₹724 crores. The GST compensation is of extreme relevance to any state, especially a small state like Chhattisgarh, as it serves as the capital for many small and large people's projects, under progress or those in the pipeline for implementation.

I would urge the Ministry of Finance, GOI to look into this and clear the remainder of the dues of Chhattisgarh at the earliest.

देश अब मोदी जी की भष्टाचार पर दोहरी नीति बड़ी गहराई से जान चुका है।

कांग्रेस का कोई भी नेता, हमारा कोई भी कार्यकर्ता, इस राजनैतिक साज़िश से नहीं डरता।

हम राजनैतिक लड़ाई और क़ानूनी लड़ाई, दोनों लड़ेंगे।
