Congratulations to William Ramsay’s 5th grade graduates! They are off to middle school and we could not be more proud! Never forget- once a Roadrunner, always a Roadrunner!
Summer Break, Day 1: (technically an on-contract Wellness Day in @ACPSk12) joined 2 @williamramsayes colleagues in the @DBQProject training for elementary teachers. Excited to launch some of the DBQs with our 5th graders in the fall! @SocStudiesACPS
@JBowes7600@NicholasFerroni During my first year teaching, the boys were constantly dribbling basketballs on the way in from recess. I asked them to hold their balls. They did. I nearly died and never made that mistake again.
Come work with students who #DREAMBIG about #College- apply to the @ACPSk12#AVIDTutor part-time time job, flexible hours, Alexandria City Public Schools - AVID Tutor: https://t.co/DVfSRYrw4d
@kellycbooz_acps@AbdelElnoubi Yes! I came from a state where the school zones were 15 mph. I was startled that those safe zones didn't exist here in Virginia.
@kellycbooz_acps Finished VDOE's required Cultural Competency training. Their words, "There are response opportunities for all students in ways that are safe and affirming ..." Also, "Create safe, and culturally affirming learning environments where all dimensions of diversity are represented."
@KumarSathy @L_D_Washington With a doctorate and ten years of admin/instructional leadership roles, I went back into the classroom. Much easier to stay in my own lane as a teacher this time around!
