@John__Sheeran@JoeGoodberry True, but the fifth year option was guaranteed money, right? Or is that not accurate? They can start at $14M per, but it wouldnโt look like that from a cap perspective.
@JakeLiscow Could this also be indicative of their draft struggles lately as well? We wouldnโt need to sign older players if we had faith that younger players were producing.
Playing the skeptical side on this one.
@JoeGoodberry Would be great if they didnโt need all of these picks to contribute immediately. Trading up works when you donโt have as many holes to fill.
@zimwhodey Not going to lie - Iโm curious about bringing Caleb Banks to the Bengals as a R2 upside pick. Understand that may be too much from a DL depth perspective but I think it ramps up competition and demands the best out of the room. Stewart/Banks competing for your Nascar package? ๐
@zimwhodey Itโs all about optics. If they signed a LB right out of the gate to go with these types of moves, Iโm sure it would feel different. Depth is improving with the moves theyโre making today, but they still need those game changers with the first three picks of the draft.
@Wrightreportt Absolutely. This is the downside of not signing a LB already. Otherwise, Iโm happy with the offseason additions if they did have a draft like this one.
