A heartfelt thank you to the best partner I could ever ask for, the wonderful @ms_donofrio Thank you for your dedication, commitment and sharing your gift of teaching with us, it has been a joy to work alongside with you... We did it!! @RolphRoadSchool@EarlyYearsTDSB
Today we celebrated the hard work of our incredible JK+SK students this year. They overcame so many challenges with a 😀thru it all! Even though it was done virtually, we could feel their happiness through the 💻. Congratulations Room 8!🎉🎊@RolphRoadSchool@tdsb@MsFernandez10
@MsFernandez10 and I are always looking for ways to keep our Ss engaged and having fun! Today we challenged them to create some laundry art using problem solving and creativity. Art doesn’t always need to be on paper! What do you see? @EarlyYearsTDSB@RolphRoadSchool
Did you know that tomorrow, May 21st, is Endangered Species Day? This is a difficult topic for students. Eco-inquiry & action can help them to deal with eco-anxiety & protect biodiversity. For ideas & resources, go to: https://t.co/PVl6O4aR8v

Today is #WorldBookDay so we asked our Ss what their favourite books are. So many shared non-fiction books, and a few had the same books as their favourites. From a quick conversation, we learned that we have so much in common with each other! @tdsb@RolphRoadSchool
If parents want to give their children a gift, the best thing they can do is to teach their children to love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy effort, and keep on learning. ~ Carol S. Dweck

So proud of our Ss work👏. Self Identity is a key part of children's development, building of self-esteem and confidence. Thank you @ms_donofrio for guiding us in such and amazing journey! Looking forward to displaying part 2! @TDSB_MHWB@EarlyYearsTDSB@RolphRoadSchool
Room 8 has been very busy at work over the past couple of weeks completing our Self Identity inquiry. This display only shows half of the incredible work our students have done. Part 2 will be on display after the Christmas break! @RolphRoadSchool@tdsb@EarlyYearsTDSB
#WeareRolph A collaborative art project featuring self-portraits of our Ss, Staff + Office 😊. Though we are separated into cohorts we are still together + connected . Thank you to Mr. Whitaker for taking the lead 🙏 #selfportrait#thisisRolph@tdsb@LC1_TDSB@TDSB_MHWB
We have been learning about Remembrance Day and what peace means to us. We are grateful for the sacrifices our veterans made so we can enjoy living in a peaceful country 🇨🇦 #LestWeForget@tdsb@EarlyYearsTDSB@ms_donofrio
@EcoInquiry They had many questions such as: “Is that a mushroom? Is that a fairy house? Is that a part of the tree that looks like a mushroom? Do all the trees have mushrooms?, Are there any bees left inside?” For sure the beginning of many conversations :)
Today our Kindergarten students discovered a big mushroom and an old hive hidden in trees that were revealed by the changing of seasons! Sometimes taking a moment to look up is all it takes to experience wonder. @RolphRoadSchool@tdsb@EarlyYearsTDSB@EcoSchoolsTDSB@EcoInquiry
It’s all about having fun + costumes. Our 4 FDK classes safely participated in our Spook-tacular outdoor Halloween costume show. Thank you to Mr. Cushman for the audios + MC #Halloween#Kindergarten@EarlyYearsTDSB@tdsb
