Yeah the wind field on the eastern side of #Idalia's circulation is huge for a 50-55 knot (ish) tropical storm.

Recon has been consistently getting ~50+ knot flight level winds & ~45 kt SFMR ~150+ miles to the east-southeast of the center. The wind field is likely only going to grow appreciably in size as #Idalia continues to fight off this northerly shear (which could lead to additional short-term broadening), then begins the process of extratropical transition prior to landfall in Florida, which also typically leads to TCs that grow in size.

Subsidence in periphery of HOT SUPERCELL on the south side of the center of Tropical Storm #Idalia looks to be carving out a little eye-like feature. Hurricane warnings issued for far western Cuba. Farther east path seems very plausible. Storm surge impacts around Tampa Bay could be catastrophic.
