Todays poetry lesson is onomatopoeia ! We worked in groups to determine the sound that matched the picture or phrase. I am incredibly proud of how hard they worked and how well their group work was !
Today we learned about understanding a character through their actions ! We watched a disney short film Bao and described what happened in the story. This was the first time we did this and we made great connections
Last week at Islip’s Multicultural night ! I love running the multicultural club @ CRES but loved seeing my students speak infront of an auditorium full of people more ! So proud of them and all their hard work! #Isliprising
Today we were fortunate enough to learn anout oyster farming ! Thanks Mr. Seinfeld for educating us on the importance of oysters for the water on Long Island
Today we practiced reading with expression ! By paying attention to punctuation & capital letters we know how the author wants us to read something. What better way to practice then with Mo Willems?
