We had a traditional (Cree) feast at King George today. Many hands pitched in. While our pre-k's couldn't help cook, they were so excited to take on the very special job of returning the leftovers back to the earth. Little people are amazing! @StoonPubSchools#spslearns
Gearing up for Orange Shirt day on Sept 30, we are highlighting indigenous voices in our classroom. Today we read 'My Heart Fills With Happiness' by Cree & Lakota author, Monique Gray Smith, and drew/shared what makes us happiest! #fnim#orangeshirtday#prekindergarten
I find so much joy in setting out invitations for my little (pre-k) people. I was shocked how many of them jockeyed for position to play here, finding the letters in their own special names. Great side-by-side opportunities happened here today! #spslearns#spsd#earlyliteracy
Loved hanging out virtually with the wonderful @DrJCarrington this morning. Thanks for the #leakyballs 👀. I'm excited to invest in our little people this year. @StoonPubSchools
Thank you @PremierScottMoe for not thinking we’re essential workers, as I sit in the @PAHealthDept Vic hospital recovering from Covid-19. Get my fellow teachers vaccinated, before this happens to anyone else.
Our elf stole the principal's door sign and got detention, so he sent his friend "Fred" (@brettkirk97) to fill us in. We found him snoring away in the corner of our room. We managed to wake him up with some good old fashioned caroling! #pssdprideandjoy@prairiespiritsd
"Look, Miss Goran, our shadows are holding hands!" I was confused because I didn't feel his hand, but I looked on the ground and there we were. Just what this teacher's heart needed! 💜 @prairiespiritsd
@Mason7Jen I think about the impact this will make on them as they grow. Such a beautiful relationship with mother nature has been formed and those kids will be the future our earth desperately needs. Well done, Pre-K! 💜🌎
