Part of the standardization of standardized tests is supposed to be the conditions for administering the tests. How can they possibly be standardized when we have F2F, remote, hybrid, and everything in between. Any standardized test given this year will essentially be useless.

I find it comical when some people out there tell teachers that they can just quit if they don’t like what is being asked of them. That is why they could never make it as a teacher. They don’t understand the commitment that teachers have for their kids.

High stress and anxiety cause the thought and reasoning parts of the brain to shut down so the brain can focus on fight or flight. Whether in person or online, we have to reduce anxiety for students and teachers for teaching/ learning to be effective.
