Mindset Monday | Today we worked on exercising our growth mindset by responding to a quote by Albert Einstein — “A person who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” #GrowthMindset
After a particularly stressful day of classes, I decided to take the notes I’ve collected from my 3rd grade students so far & post them on my closet door. Looking at each of these completely turned my mood around. I can’t wait to see each of their smiling faces in the morning. 💕
Thanks again to Robbie Mueller for sharing his art with us for the 2nd year in a row! It is an experience our students will not forget! Thanks to Hunt Refinery for sponsoring and @MsHRitchie for diving in to help! @KentuckArt@oakdaleelement@TCSBoardofEd

@TeacherAdvice Thank you for those recommendations! I will absolutely be looking into those. (And how neat— I just realized that you are the author of one of my university textbooks!)

Popcorn pops at different times when it is ready. It is important to recognize that students also “pop” at different times in every content area! #acgal
Failure IS an option! Students learn from failure. When students fail the best response is, “Let’s try again”! Recovering from failure teaches more than being labeled for failure ever could teach. @rickwormeli2#ACGAL
