Egyptian military aircraft 🇪🇬 reportedly struck Sudanese gold mining sites in the Jabal Al Uqayat area of the disputed Halaib Triangle, claimed by both Egypt 🇪🇬 and Sudan 🇸🇩.

At least seven Sudanese gold miners were reportedly killed and dozens more injured in the incident.

This is, of course not the first time that Egypt has bombed Sudanese territory during this war.

This time, it's a gold mining area under SAF control. There are reports that JF and SAF withdrew from the area beforehand. Predictably, not a word from SAF.

-Civilians don't trust Burhan after 2021 coup

-Islamist $$/weapons lines are indispensable to Burhan
