Florida is taking its rivalry with New York straight to Times Square.

A massive new billboard in the heart of Manhattan has a message for NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani: “Thanks for the jobs!”

The Florida Chamber of Commerce named Mamdani its “Economic Developer of the Year,” saying New York’s progressive tax policies are helping push businesses, wealth and residents toward the Sunshine State.

The Chamber says the campaign is about more than a little trolling — it’s meant to make a broader case for lower taxes and free enterprise as Florida continues to attract people and businesses from high-tax states.

And they picked one of New York City’s busiest corners to make sure the message gets noticed.

Firefighters rescued a missing dog found swimming in the San Francisco Bay after it escaped into the water and "just kept swimming.”

The pup had been missing since July 4 before first responders brought it safely back to shore, where it was reunited with its owners.

BREAKING: The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a nationwide ground stop for all American Airlines flights because of an IT issue.

On June 26, an all-hands fire broke out inside a basement apartment in a private dwelling in Queens. FDNY Fire Marshals determined the cause of the fire to be a lithium-ion battery that was charging in the kitchen of the fire apartment. The fire trapped a 48-year-old man inside the home, who had to escape through a bedroom window. The victim later died at a hospital.

This is the first death in 2026 connected to a lithium-ion battery fire that happened this year.

Where possible, charge and store lithium-ion batteries or micromobility devices OUTSIDE. Do not charge them overnight, and do not block any exits. It can mean the difference between life and death.
