@DiduPanas@DriverRopey@IuliiaMendel I don’t discuss highly unlikely scenarios.
Bottom line: as of now, neither the Russian gov, nor Alaskan residents are seeking to change the status of Alaska as a US state.
@ChimpsAteMyFace@Feniks134186 They did move to Russia, along with their property (houses, schools, etc).
As we know, the absolute minority want Crimea to go back to Ukraine. I’m that case it’s easier to sell and move.

@DriverRopey@IuliiaMendel Putin doesn’t want Kiev. He wants a relatively small part of Ukraine for the territory, and even that might be negotiable.
Statements like “Putin will eradicate Ukrainians if the latter capitulate” are fakes designed to prolong the war and thus have more people killed.
🇺🇦🇷🇺🚨‼️ BREAKING: The Russian foreign minister reiterates the peace deal for Ukraine to end the war!
So the peace proposal is still on the table:
1) No NATO membership
2) neutral status
3) restoration of rights of the Russian population
4) Restoration of the church
5) No possibility for the west to use Ukraine as a proxy again!
6) Taken territories in Ukraine become Russian
@loubruno4@IuliiaMendel Most certainly not true.
The rest of Ukrainians actually flee Ukraine, if they can (paying huge bribes for males), they avoid mobilization and defect the army en masse when they do get mobilized.

@oleshkomyroslav I agree with you, but to Zelensky's credit, I don't think he had a choice.
He was under pressure from UA nationalists to stall Minsk2, and literally NOBODY in his Western supporters, AT ALL, pushed him to comply. I think Minsk2's failure is 100% on collective EU leadership.
@fatbotyara Russian female fertility rate is indeed too low.
However, it's about on par with e.g. German fertility rate and EU-avg (~1.37).
Ukrainian fertility rate of ~1 is the lowest of all of EU.

@Jack3934g Hey, I don't quite follow.
Say you somehow relinquish UA citizenship. In what way would you be able to travel to another country? I thought you need a passport to enter just about any country, no?
Anyway, best of luck!
@U24_gov_ua@qirimlia A few facts:
* Per Harvard research, only 20-50K people left Crimea since annexation;
* There're ~280K Tatars in Crimea, their number and %ge grew since annexation;
* UA population is dropping like a rock.

@kecksburgalien@BrianMcDonaldIE Another example which I find funny is “Chicken Francese” which is, from what I know, an invention of Italian restaurants in the US.
And, of course, Quebec’s favorite: Poutine.
@ZIKO_TALKS Ziko,
You can’t blame the Ukrainian girl for that behavior. She could have been forced, brainwashed, etc.
FYI: Ukrainian nationalists had enough power to force Zelensky to change his course, which caused this war:
https://t.co/WlPF1fly7W
When he argued with Trump and JD Vance about diplomacy with Russia, Zelensky claimed that Putin broke a December 2019 agreement.
Here's former UK PM Boris Johnson now acknowledging that Zelensky's "basic problem" in implementing that deal was not Russia, but that "Ukrainian nationalists couldn't accept the compromise."
That compromise was Ukraine's implementation of the Minsk Accords, which would have granted limited autonomy to the breakaway Donbas provinces, and likely prevented a Russian invasion.
@MartinMrowa@NevenaNikolova7@VolodyaTretyak Russian census offers the opportunity to declare the ethnicity. That’s how they declared that they’re Ukrainians. Some other folks chose to declare that they’re Jedi (from Star Wars).
Should RU gov have asked you to certify that they’re Ukrainians?
@natbes Interesting. Middle-class houses built on the East Coast of the US in those times look pretty similar. A ton of those exist and are in use. I heard an opinion that such houses are sturdier than the modern ones.
@StargateVsEvil@pierrottwit@IuliiaMendel They taught to support my arguments with facts.
Here’s Zelensky’s own statement that he won’t allow elections in Donbass until acquisition of border control there. This is in direct contradiction to Minsk2, item 9. That’s how he stalled Minsk2.

@xepaco@natxox@DavidJimenezTW Wow, awesome job!
I think you need to provide references to your sources and methodology. Without those your table isn’t believable. I find your numbers reasonable, but others might not.
@barrybigboyb@IuliiaMendel I read OSCE reports. They didn’t observe Russian troops in Donbass.
The border control clause is VERY clearly written in Minsk2, item 9: elections first, border control later GRADUALLY, only as Ukraine implements other items of Minsk2.
