Marquis Munson played this song on @WNXPnashville last night & it's been on repeat ever since.🖤💚♥️

@iamtheriffraff Melissa. I really don’t even have words...there are so many layers to this. And I just know soooo many people that could fall prey to this.
Taking a break from making ginger bread cookies to read. Y’all, this cryptocurrency—sheriff—blackmail—attempt story is wiiiild. (I’m not sure if that’s an accurate way to capture it, but my mind is racing thinking about the people I need to tell.) Mercy.

My family had a A LOT of difficulty over the Christmas break. So, me & the kiddos are just now getting around to making gingerbread cookies.
Thankfully, one of my dear friends is a nun & she celebrates Christmas until mid-January (Epiphany?). So, we’re still in the season!
“The people of Sudan are caring about themselves. … This is what we started to realize now … no one actually cares.”
Deep gratitude to @nashvillebanner for covering the crisis in Sudan. 💔🖤💔

This is super late. But major thanks to the CMs that voted against the $150K @MetroArtsNash settlement for Jonathan Saad.
Several CMs shared pretty strong rebukes of Metro Legal's recommendation during the discussion.

Two meeting deferral. Bigs ups to everyone that contacted Council.
Also, THANK YOU #MetroCouncilNash for slowing it down and asking questions. Specifically, @SeanForFive @DelishiaForNash @emilyfor7@Stylesfor32 and CM Antoinette Lee.
It’s midnight and I have so much on my mind that I couldn’t sleep. I recorded this message because I felt like I wanted to share what I’m feeling. I’ve not done this in years but I felt the need to share. What are you feeling in this moment? What’s on your mind?
This is one of MY WHYs for advocating for the Transportation plan. My neighbors often ask for bus passes. This particular neighbor left one MDHA property b/c of conflict to go to another & wants her child to stay at the original school. ALL of Nashville will benefit from this!!
@eacox24 don’t get ID’s anymore. When I worked for MNPS my school gave them out and then a couple years we didn’t have funding to pay for the badge & machine and the student’s family had to do a special request for them. I wish the badges were distributed to all middle but it depends on $
Four years ago, I had this crazy idea: What if Joe Biden nominated Deb Haaland for Interior Secretary?
I put it out there through the think tank where I worked, social media and my writing and didn’t think much would come of it.
But then, something did.
I picked Ta-Nehisi Coats new book at Alkebulan yesterday. I’m only two pages in. But these two quotes are ringing in my ears…
It’s giving me language for the weight that I feel about writing AND reminding me why I need to get back to it…
