@JoanMatelli Yeah, basically this sounds like a "fence around the Torah" situation - that is, legally it could be kosher, but it would certainly raise some eyebrows and questions re: norms!
I thought I heard a cat's meow from outside. Then I realized that I'm in rabbinical school and it was some folks practicing blowing shofars. #LshanahTova

There are 4 New Years in Judaism, but we only do the "Al Cheyt," collective transgression & repentance prayer before You, on Yom Kippur (after the NY of RH). What if we wrote one for Bein Adam L'chavero for the other 3? A NY just happened! What might be on your communal Al Cheyt?
Recently learned that the Wexner Foundation is no longer creating scholarship opportunities for rabbinical (or any graduate) students. Does this mean that there is officially no major funder for (cross-movement) rabbinical school students?

@samirakmehta@RRC_edu The camera setup for the room is a bit of a challenge to see everyone, but I was there and everyone (myself included, of course) was enthralled by your talk!
My professor tried to distinguish between Purim Jews and Yom Kippur Jews, and I have never been more called out than in that moment. #PurimTooLoud#GroggerTinnitus
Happy Purim! May this joyous holiday remind us of the importance of standing up against oppression while bringing us together in community and celebration. Wishing everyone a meaningful and memorable Purim filled with love, laughter, and light. #Purim#JewishHoliday
