we built our own background coding agent at ramp: it's called inspect
its powered by @opencode and @modal, and works with all the frontier models
it has a cloud hosted version of vscode, chromium, and terminal. has all the tooling and skills a ramp engineer would have, and is blazing fast
we're basically giving every ramp builder infinite laptops so they can yolo their most ambitious ideas at zero marginal cost with the biggest models we can find

The craft of engineering is rapidly changing. At @tryramp, we built our own background coding agent to accelerate faster.
We call it Inspect. It wrote 30% of merged frontend + backend PRs in the past week.
It’s powered by @opencode, @modal and @CloudflareDev. It runs fully in the cloud, and starts in seconds, letting every builder work at the speed of thought, no setup required.
Today, we’re open sourcing the full blueprint so anybody can build their own Inspect. Just give our spec to your current coding agent, and let it build your new favourite.
@zachbruggeman@tryramp@opencode@modal@CloudflareDev Building Inspect has been a ton of fun, and it has completely changed how I work.
I'm starting every single project with an Inspect session, probably 50% of the time it's just ready to go and the other 50% I can pull the branch, make some tweaks and I've got a PR ready.
@eglyman@tryramp This is a huge step, but we still have so much more work to do. There are still so many customers that can save time and money on Ramp.
Amazing / rare opportunity! Ramp (fastest growing startup of all time, iykyk) is looking for Android contractors to help build their rocket ship. Option for full time available too (1/2)
EXCLUSIVE: A car was found smashed by a giant yellow wrecking ball in Chinatown, NYC.
Foul play? Or elaborate marketing stunt to inform businesses they can earn more on their operating cash?
Our team investigates.

I'm sure this has been said before, but if a tool knows enough to know what the right command is when you type the wrong thing, just handle it and don't throw an error.
If you add up the number of times people type brew update instead of brew upgrade, I'm sure i'd be millions.
@todoist Would be awesome to have natural language date syntax for postponing items. e.g. Edit the title of a task adding 1w to postpone for a week, 3d for 3 days, etc.
@Ruesavatar I was homeschooled from 3rd grade on and it was one of the best things for my academic and early career development. Gave me the ability to learn how I learn best, and forced me to achieve since I couldn't just float in the middle of the class.
Working on virtualized scrolling support for React Aria Components! Works with any collection component, e.g. lists, tables, grids, etc. All you'll need to do is wrap it with a <Virtualizer> and we'll take care of layout, scrolling, keyboard navigation, focus management, etc. 🥳
I guess if you REALLY dislike Elon, that's reason enough, but for most people, if the platform works it's probably fine.
TLDR; Don't just build a Twitter clone. Build something different and maybe it'll catch on if your idea is a good one.
Got an email from Bluesky today and I'm reminded why so many companies try to upset an established market leader and fail: lack of uniqueness. Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon all have striking resemblance to Twitter, so what's the point?
If someone is going to pick up their social media activity and move somewhere else, there has to be a compelling reason. Yeah, people love to hate on Elon, but is that really enough reason for most people to move?
