Something is starting to grow @HCPSLanier!! This will be the 4th year of our garden. Huge shout out to @HomeDepot who helped me make this super educational and therapeutic activity happen in a bigger way!
A cool way to wrap up a math unit: students work together to build a #Minecraft village where each structure has to have dimensions that are multiples of a certain number and that have to show the basics of an electrical circuit by using red stone. @HCPSLanier#STEM
You know what’s awesome?? When kids lead their own filmmaking club. They’re using accountable talk, voting, planning and taking into account everyone’s genius for roles. The absolute best part is watching this unfold. @HCPSLanier@TheLeaderinMe@HCPSArea1
Student-led learning. All these cool guys are running their own Dominoes Math game. Lay down a tile and say the double multiplication fact as fast as you can before someone steals your turn! @HCPSLanier
Heading to the @TBLightning game tonight? Help feed your hungry neighbors before heading in to watch your favorite team take on the Predators. Take action and help ice out hunger today! #HungerActionMonth
Leadership Day at Lanier Elementary! Encouraging words overheard from one of our guests after visiting Ms. Chaffee’s 5th grade Sippin’ Stanzas Poetry Café: “You leave this place and you have hope.” @HCPSLanier@Jeff_Eakins@HCPSArea1
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t or that you will never or that your goals or dreams are for some other person. We don’t have labels here except for “leader” and it produces self-directed, confident learners. #nolabels@HCPSLanier@TheLeaderinMe
