Through student to student differentiation, I have seen a student grow in the ability to accurately sequence events in a story confidently. When taken data, the student progressed from 0/5 correct answers to 4/5 correct answers. I am confident growth will continue!
What an honor to learn from such an incredible professor. Dr @pattiwood has taught for 50 years and still shows up every day excited to teach us valuable lessons as well I am thankful for the time we had with her and will always remember her class! Happy Retirement!!!!
Some of my best moments teaching were teachable moments that seemingly came out of no where. These AHA moments are organic and authentic and often have little to do with the curriculum or the lesson plan... Its real life, real relationships, real learning!
5 tips for building class climate:
1) Talk to kids when they walk into class.
2) Learn 1 thing about each student.
3) If you have to get on to a kid, do it privately.
4) Apologize when needed.
5) Don’t take yourself too seriously.
Yesterday concluded our time at Avondale School. I have learned so much from these past two weeks, and this school, students, and my sweet cooperating teacher will always hold a special place in my heart! @MsSiskTeaches@drscarbs25@DrLizi@JanemMarlin
Last week I had the opportunity of teaching my first lesson @SchoolAvondale. I loved seeing the lightbulb moments all the students were having during the lesson! I cannot wait to be back with this special group of 2nd graders on Monday! 💡🍎📚🤓@DrLizi@JanemMarlin@drscarbs25
