SHAME on @PeelPolice for ignoring my husband and I's requests for help for 7 days. This is a suspected hate crime against a racialized Muslim family home with 3 minors - but safe to say PRP doesn't care about #Islamophobia
I would like to document & share that it took @Airbnb all of *8 minutes* to respond to my tweets. I was dm’ed & assured that this was being looked into with priority. That was 5hrs+ ago, & still no follow up. When will you actually be contacting me with priority @AirbnbHelp?
@mskhawja Allow us to check on this, Henna. Can you DM us the email linked to your Airbnb account, and we'll take it from there? Thank you. https://t.co/WCQEFGIlXC
My children, my husband & I lost out on a March Break trip we had been looking fwd to for months & a substantial amount of $. I have raved about airbnb for over a decade & recommended to all constantly. Never again.
I have been a loyal @Airbnb customer for ~12 yrs. I never had a bad experience until now. For SEVEN days, @Airbnb support has been sending me on a fools’ chase after THEY cancelled my booking and took 50% of my payment.
The initial @Airbnb support staff was completely unhelpful, told different stories to the host and I, essentially pitted the host & I against each other and told me to figure it out on my own with the host. That there was “nothing” she could do.
On this day last year, we were entering March Break. I had taken the week off of work to care for my daughter, but to also engage in some deeply needed self-care. After much contemplation, I had decided to put her into a half-day camp for the week to allow some daily “me time”.
I know so many of us have had similar & different, exponentially difficult years. I know some of my clients follow me here. But I’m reflecting and trying to count my blessings. This shit has been so, so, so hard. Sometimes it’s okay to just feel it and name it. Here we are.
