That’s a wrap for the wonderful Ms. Osmond. So thankful to have such a great intern @StTeresasSchoo1@MUNEducation Good Luck as you begin your teaching career!
The NLESD is grateful for the encouragement from the community for inclusive education. Our leadership will be at Confederation Building tomorrow in a show of support for all of our students/staff. We condemn the hatred directed at our schools, most recently at @StMattsTigers
I did a read-aloud of “I Love Strawberries” while on my observation days! It provided great examples of contractions and it connected to the class as they are growing different plants in the classroom 🪴

The Magic Tree House series is the first series I remember being able to read all by myself! It’s so nice to see that they are still popular today.

I remember reading this book in school and really enjoying it! I loved it so much I immediately went out and bought my own copy📚 A great historical fiction novel that focuses on WWII.

Discovered the book “Hattie Harmony Worry Detective” earlier this year and absolutely fell in love. It promotes great discussion around anxiety and coping mechanisms! I can’t wait for the next book in the series to be released in June!

One of my favourite books when I was around 5 years old was “The Tailypo: A Ghost Story” by Joanna Galdone and Paul Galdone. Definitely a little creepy, but the creature in the story reminded me of my cat at the time, so I never found it too scary🐈⬛

The Harry Potter series is what sparked my love of reading. I have so many fond memories of my mom reading the books to me before bed🧙🏻♀️

While on my observation days I learned about some great websites that provide resources on reading, writing, and the importance of phonics. Definitely worth checking out!
