i think everyone should watch hajime no ippo atleast once in their lives. it is way better than every self help book i've read or productivity video i've watched on yt
it shows how pursuit of greatness is really just becoming someone who can do hard things consistently
This sentence by Van Gogh hits hard:
“If I am worth anything later, I am worth something now. For wheat is wheat, even if people think it is a grass in the beginning.”
turns out, reading voraciously, moving your body, loving people without keeping score, protecting your solitude, chasing nothing but your own growth, and occasionally staying out too late with people who make you laugh until it hurts is not a bad way to build a life.
Everyone is always rooting for you. Your parents want you to be a great son. Wife wants you to be a great husband. Your boss wants you to be a slam dunk hire. Every first date you’ve ever been on they’ve been rooting for you to get laid. Every time you started to tell a joke people hoped it would have a hilarious punch line. Your proximity to anyone is a reflection of themself, meaning the deck is never stacked against you, and your failures are completely your own
The universe will make sure you'll win if you just believe in yourself. Universe doesn’t reward talent, luck, or intelligence first , it rewards the one who believe in themselves. let me remind you every good thing that you have in your life came after you decided to believe in it. even when nothing seems to be working. even when it feels quiet. even when your faith starts to shake a little. keep believing. keep visualizing. Keep showing up like it's already yours. Universe moves in silence before it reveals its magic. what you can't see is still unfolding. what feels delayed is simply on its right time. your belief is the bridge between where you are and where you're meant to be. Hold the vision a little longer cause It's already on its way to you. Manifest the sh!t out of it!!!
