@realrikkidoolan I'm sure you'll be delighted to know, that after the recent census, Great Britain is no longer a "Christian nation". Christianity now represents less than 47% of people, and the second largest is aethism :). So no, its not a disgrace to respect everyone's customs and beliefs
@MTB_Flyer@geoffl65@mikegruber@carolvorders You might get the point you wrote about, but completely missed the counter point I was making. Furlough wasn't free money, there was significant costs to businesses. Every business that furloughed staff needed it, or they would have just laid them off and rehired later.
@geoffl65@mikegruber@MTB_Flyer@carolvorders Furlough still cost businesses a fortune, and company directors got zero help and no being pounded the most to pay for it. Suggesting or implying it was "free" for businesses is so far from the truth its not even funny.
Let's not let facts get in the way of strutting eh :)
@geoffl65@mikegruber@MTB_Flyer@carolvorders Companies had to cover the accumulated holiday pay, pension contributions, NI contributions and paye. It cost businesses to keep people on furlough
@UKdemocrat What was bigger and better wasn't the EU. It was th EEC. You'll find a lot of brexiteers agree with the EEC and not the dictatorship the EU became. So yes, the answer is the EU needs to continue down its path of self destruction and then the EEC can be reborn
@BBCScotlandNews Why doesn't your headline say "economy expands in October and beats all forecasts?" Because that's exactly what happened. It GREW 0.5% october compared to September and against all expectations. Guess that doesn't get eyeballs though does it.
@GordonBrown With the reversal of the 45% tax cut, everything in the budget was the benefit of anyone working with tax cuts in the base rate, abolition of health levy and cancel duty rises. Are labour defining "wealthy" as anyone with a job now @GordonBrown?
@marklin27879052@angel87919051@lollypop240_0@SweetCheeks79UK@dave43law@MartinSLewis A few don't make the whole. You attacked anyone who's doing well and all self employed. Personally I'm in favour of scrapping all forms of tax and start again, and instead just charge sales tax on everything. Then you're taxing consumption and no loopholes
@kane90@Hunter19962@MartinSLewis Because of population density. Its a lot cheaper for infrastructure down south than in Scotland. On the other side, the unit rates in Scotland are cheaper than down south as we generate more. On average it will still equal the cap.
@GMB_union So your members said they're not willing to work for the conditions offered, the company has said fine we'll find others who will. Maybe this is exactly what's needed to rebalance the power between companies and unions. Too much power goes to unions to blackmail companies.
@MrsSigurdsson@MrsLMcFarlane E wanted to share a photo of her achievement today. She's built this whole thing herself, inside and out, following the instructions with only limited help. She's very proud of herself!
@MrsCrerar@MrsSigurdsson M & E had fun learning about dams the practical way in our burn lol. From second knuckle deep to half way up their forearm. Lots of laughs had.
@bacon888_bacon @Cred62437843@ChilliRed@daveramsbottom @ACunninghamMP What was your alternative solution that would actually work? You can't keep spending 14 billion a month you don't have... Labour tried that and emptied the coffers completely. Blaming tories is like blaming the cleaner for the mess left by the party goers lol
