@MoniseLSeward I went through the same thing this past school year. I had three students who spoke no little to no English. The Spanish textbook alone was not enough and typing back and forth using Google translate was time consuming. I understand completely.
What #womenownedbusiness are you supporting this #WomensHistoryMonth? Here's a reseller closet I'd love for you to support. Drop some others in this thread to share the love! https://t.co/aiBcrLDwXk
@brea_ratliff Thanks! They don't speak enough English to work with other students. They work together however when we work in pairs. The other students are sweet and will try to translate at times to talk to them.
I have two students who speak very little English. I send them videos of worked examples in Spanish and they have access to the Spanish version of the textbook but it's not enough. They sit in class staring at the board like a deer in headlights because they don't understand 1/2
fully what I'm saying. I also feel like they don't like using Google translate in front of other students. We sat once typing back and forth into Google translate for 15 min to get through 1 question.
