Today the kids were tasked to write what they enjoy going to school for in Mandarin. The fact that many wrote about school lunch speaks a lot about our nutrition service! @NutritRUSD @RowlandSchools#summerenrichment#duallanguage#WeAreRUSD
Teaching summer enrichment allows me to try new things such as CGI math. It’s not perfect as I’m still learning to adapt it to the language need in a dual language setting. But it’s been a fun learning curve!

Math reinforcement, mandarin character review with molding foam, content review with fun posters, and magnetic tiles while I work on reading/writing with a small group. I love center time!@RowlandSchools #dualimmersion#weareRUSD#Mandarindual
Last week sure was a rough one for me. But thanks to a sweet gesture from a student and free froyo from @_JulieMitchell_ and board members like @DonnaF4Kids, the joy and gratitude filled my heart 💜 #WeAreRUSD@RowlandSchools
We celebrated #NationalBossDay on Friday by surprising @shelynsharks Mrs. Opatkiewicz with her favorite treats, gift card, and a giant poster filled with loving messages from staff members💙 #WeAreRUSD
The joy on our faces after finishing our 52th and last conference! All families showed up too and we learned so much. Although having two full dual classes is a new challenge to us, we are learning and growing together💜 @shelynsharks@RowlandSchools#WeAreRUSD#dualimmersion
Quick and fun worksheets to check students understanding on correct and incorrect ways to write Chinese characters. They must like it enough to practice the same way on their white board during choice time, right? :) @shelynsharks@RowlandSchools#dualimmersion#kindergarten
@MrsKRuud and I look forward to these informal meetings with parents we started two years ago. We get to learn how parents came up with the child’s name& fun facts! Thankful this year allows us to meet in person or on Zoom! @shelynsharks@RowlandSchools@SpecProGATEL#WeAreRUSD
