@dr_obbs This is more about reducing the flow of dirty side air into the beam wing. The trend is to dump that into the wheel gap where there's great suction. Never liked the Hapsburg lip sidepod.
@dr_obbs One of the old Eighties F2 tricks was to keep the leaking air near the inside edge of the skirt in a kind of waste disposal vortex and way from the main flow.
@Marklfc10Mark@SportmphMark Yes - if they want to go that way. It's only a sticking plaster really and only really works in a straight line when you don't need downforce but when you do get porpoising. Bahrain is a point and squirt place. GE is doing much for F1 at this track.
