We had a great time at our FIRST FIELD TRIP IN 3 YEARS to the @chicagosymphony Ms. Space and I surprised our classes with additional fun facts on the bus about Chicago landmarks. Big shoutout and thanks to @MsAlvarado7 and @mrsjohnson126 for organizing the trip!
Literature and Crafts club had a BLAST reading “The Doctor with an Eye for Eyes: The Story of Dr. Patricia Bath” and then making our very own “eyeglasses!” Each week, first and second graders meet to read a different book and make a craft based off of the book!
We had a BLAST making paper crunchers with our friends from Bricks4Kidz today! The 5th graders and I learned about a lot about how gears work, the importance of reading directions, and working as a team!! #weare126
We had so much fun with our second grade buddies last week! Each classroom at Stony Creek pairs with a different grade level to promote cross age friendships and school wide positive behaviors! We can’t wait to make even more memories and connections with Mrs. Bromley’s class!
Ms. O’Corn-aghan was in the building today!! I promised my fifth graders if they went above and beyond on our “Corn” unit of @BenchmarkEdu that I would wear a corn costume to school! Today was the day! 🌽
When you can’t bring your students to the ocean, you bring it to them!!! 5th graders chose their own seashell straight from the Gulf of Mexico and worked on using extraordinary adjectives to describe their unique shells!
