Tragedi Drag Race Kotamobagu, Tujuh Penonton Tewas Dan 16 Luka-Luka ‼

Tragedi terjadi dalam ajang Open Tournament Tidar Drag Race-Drag Bike Kotamobagu Bersahabat Championship 2026 di Jalan AP Mokoginta, Kelurahan Upai, Kotamobagu, Sulawesi Utara, Minggu (9/8/2026).

Sebuah mobil Honda Jazz milik peserta Tian Ngantung dari tim Pangeran 05 McJoe melintir setelah melewati garis finis dan menghantam kerumunan penonton. Sebanyak tujuh orang tewas dan 16 lainnya luka-luka.

Ajang yang digelar di jalan umum tersebut diikuti 927 pembalap dan disaksikan sekitar 3.000 penonton. Sorotan muncul karena di lokasi kecelakaan dinilai tidak tersedia pengamanan memadai untuk memisahkan lintasan dengan penonton.

Ketua panitia, Lucky Sugeha, menyatakan siap bertanggung jawab dan menanggung biaya pengobatan korban yang masih dirawat.

Namun, aktivis Sulawesi Utara Eddy Rompas meminta polisi mengusut tragedi tersebut secara menyeluruh, termasuk kemungkinan tanggung jawab panitia dan pihak yang memberikan izin. Evaluasi standar keselamatan dinilai penting agar kejadian serupa tidak terulang.
