Ground reports from Jantar Mantar say that not a single protester is able to reach the protest site.
Delhi Police is detaining people right at the outer barricade, loading them into buses and driving them away.
When asked where they are being taken, the police are not answering.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh was stopped on the way, with police standing around him holding a rope.

Earlier today, reports said more than 50 protesters were detained, including AAP's Saurabh Bharadwaj.
The protest was called against CEC Gyanesh Kumar over the SIR, and the police said no permission was given.

So an Election Commission that has to answer questions has police that will not even answer where citizens are being taken.

When @zoo_bear was arrested by Delhi Police in 2022 based on a manufactured complaint, court had ordered 4 days of remand and he was kept in IFSO office in Sector 16 in Dwarka during the remand period. I would go see him from a distance everyday because he was allowed to meet the lawyer everyday, and I would go along, but i wasn't allowed to speak with him. Once he was going to be taken for a health checkup (as part of regular procedure), which would mean he would have to be put into a police van and taken to the hospital. I was present there at that point in time and saw a lone camera person standing outside the gate. I was intrigued as to how does this media person know that Zubair's going to be taken for a checkup. I asked him which media organisation he's from, and it of course turned out to be ANI. Essentially Delhi Police had informed ANI that the camera person should be there so that the images can be shown widely on social media. Thankfully, that case didn't go the Umar Khalid way and he eventually got bail in 23 days. In those days, he was shuttled between different towns of UP and Delhi and the ANI camera followed him everywhere. Today, Swatantra Bhardwaj has been sent to police remand for an actual crime, but ANI has no photos to show.

@amar_4inc Indeed this guy's statements n confidence point towards serious issues. I recollect the delhi police chief's affirmative statement offering solidarity with his men when they faced severe allegations of illegal execution of power including usage of pellet guns.
