@SurvivingGrady In my apartment in my first year of seminary, my dad on the phone. Trying to not scream because I realized my parent's cable feed was three seconds behind mine.
Americans weekly consume 100,000 words, the equivalent of two books via snacking on social media, blogs, and cable news.
The Church doesn't need to produce and proliferate more information, it needs an immersion in discipleship.
@CharlesPPierce As a Boston Bruins fan from birth, my father told me there is only one city you cannot go to to cheer them on. Some of the best advice from father to son.
Today is the FIRST occurrence of this year’s failures for the #nhl. After four perfectly acceptable #nhlbruins games on ESPNplus, I cannot even get access to a radio broadcast due to the incompetence of the league and its broadcast contracts. Bettman deserves the boos!

@nurya Me too! I shudder to imagine how this would be interpreted, but there should be workshops at major conventions where adult baptized leaders in the church could get together for networking and reflection. I remember how rare I was in my seminary class...
Reading a chapter a day of R.W.Kimmerer's Braiding Sweetgrass. If your heart yearns for support in loving the created world around you, read a chapter of this and be nourished.
@JStein_WaPo Ministry sometimes brings a moment to chuckle. COVID kept us from ordering communion wine for the last couple years, and now with limited staff I got to be the one to call. Discovered that our communion wine is a local product called "Bigfoot Shadows". Teehee.
