· Perfectly fine and well-set station tiling is being removed and redone again.

· Matunga station fast train platform where not a single passenger local train or express trains halt is being spruced up.

· Digging and dust all over the working platforms is leading to inconvenience.

· The 1921-era heritage plaques of Sandhurst Road station covered up in plywood.

Welcome to Amrit Bharat stations and the agony and anger that #Mumbai commuters have to face because of the project. All this in a city which has been completely dug up where citizens are already fed up due to barricades, pits and dust. Railway stations that remained clean and pit free have now joined the bandwagon, inconveniencing citizens further.

While many of the upgrade and capacity building works undertaken by CR at the listed stations under the ambitious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) have been appreciable and helpful for passenger benefit as they involve value addition and capacity building to the existing stations, a number of unnecessary and duplication of works is what has been a matter of concern not just from the viewpoint of waste of public expenditure, but also leading to commuter inconvenience. #MumbaiRailway #amritbharatstation #amrit_rail_station @RailMinIndia
