💭💎from When Faith Meets Pedagogy: "The child that u least expect 2 be Christ's comeback is going to walk thru ur door. God is going 2 ask u, did u recognize me in that child? It'll be that same child that will be the cross that walks u in2 paradise" - Fr. Tony Ricard @HCDSB
There’s no better feeling than spending a day with like minded colleagues, who are dedicated to creating culturally responsive resources for teachers. Thank you for your leadership always @MissGtheTeacher 💕 #BlackHistory365
@HCDSB REPRESENTATION MATTERS! So grateful to @StFXgradcoach for bringing the Kente Stoles to our Black students! Celebrating and valuing Black Joy & Black Brilliance!
I'm still processing it too!! Such a powerful story of race & surveillance with an ending that had me absolutely shocked but grateful for the necessary discomfort.
Last night I attended @canadianstage play #fairview Wow! I’m still processing it all. Written by Jackie Sibblies Drury and Directed by @tawiahmcarthy thank you for bringing this much needed dialogue to a Canadian audience! As a black woman I felt seen.
@JullyBlack understood the assignment. She represented the language in which we should be speaking. This is walking in truth. This is allyship. The lands we have come to know as Canada, although many of us call it home, it is ON NATIVE LAND. #Landback#Canada#NBAAllStar
Talk of “divisiveness” by some on antiracist & equity education. Europeans created social construct of race to justify enslavement, colonialism, racial division & hierarchy that persists today. Antiracist, anti-oppression education is about inclusion & decentering Eurocentricity
Another success! Thanks to our B.S.U who put together an informative display to educate the school community about the richness & diversity of Black hair styles & types. They even brought the tunes & danced! Pure joy & pride!! @StFXSOS
Shoutout to our Black Student Union on creating a BHM bingo activity for our entire school to participate in & learn about notable Black figures daily. So proud of them! These are just a few of many! @StFXSOS
So proud of two of my NBE3U students who are in this video promoting the course🧡 Teachers, please encourage your students to take Indigenous courses! It's truly a transformative experience for them.
During this course selection period we highly recommend that all HCDSB secondary students take an Indigenous education course offered at our HCDSB schools. They teach students how to think critically & work towards reconciliation

So proud of our @StFXSOS NBE3U students for writing new land acknowledgments for our school & educating the community on selected parts. It's important that we know and understand what we recite every morning. More to come! @HCDSB
@Soulpepper you did it again! Made me laugh and broke my heart all in one night! Go buy your tickets to watch Trey Anthony's 'Da Kink in My Hair. The show runs till December 23rd!
A big thank you to our guest speaker @chanelle_odessa who visited our @StFXSOS B.S.U & led an impactful session on internalized racism & reclaiming identity. Students shared their lived experiences & learned how to name their feelings & reclaim their externalized experiences.
