Landfill sensory bin fun! 🚜♻️
Students looked through soil to find objects to sort into garbage, paper or plastic containers! This is a great activity to use to promote recycling and keeping our planet clean🌎

Oil spill sensory bin sorting🟢🔵
Students had to dive into our water sensory bin and sort out the letters and numbers!! They loved having to clean off the objects with the sponge and toothbrush🧼🪣

Exit tickets are great tools to use for assessment and to see if your activities/lessons are working for you and your students!

Today we made Seed Bombs at our Early Years Carousel🪴 This is a great activity to do with young minds who want to help grow beautiful things around our community🌸 They also loved that they could take it home and plant it with their families and watch it grow over the summer!☀️

Today our class made firework paintings using straws! The students loved to see how each fire work came out different depending on how hard they blew into their straw! We also had them write their New Years goal to practice our writing skills & self growth! 🎇📝🍎 @EY_uwindsor

I absolutely love this learning activity!!

We are building structures using foam blocks and shaving cream! Incredible idea by these EY Educators. The male student recognized that there needed to be a thick enough layer of shaving cream for the foam blocks to remain secured! Such good thinking. @EY_uwindsor #EYvolunteering

Today I used a crocodile friend to help my Jk/Sk’s learn about shapes! They really enjoyed reaching in his mouth to grab a new shape, learn about each shape and sort them! 🟣🟨♥️🔷

Today volunteering in a JK/SK classroom, I learned a great strategy for getting students attention and or keeping them on task, which is to sing what you have to say rather than just speak it! When implementing this strategy, I noticed I got students attention a lot faster🎤🎼
