During the closure, I realized that I need to take care of myself, not just my students. I started daily morning meditations on @calm (which is free for teachers!) & I’ve had time to make art again. I know I’ll be a better teacher after this because I’ve taken care of myself!🧘🏽☀️

Explain Everything makes distance learning easier for teachers & families! 🏡💗 I teach by recording my voice as I write on documents & pictures, then I send the video to parents. All they have to do is press play & students follow my directions just like in class! 🤯 #ItsWorthIt

March Book Madness has begun! 🏀We have a bracket of new books that we’ll read, then vote on which book goes to the next round! There’s also a voting station in the hall so anyone in our school can participate in the fun! #ItsWorthIt

@ErinCondren I ordered on Oct 20 and still haven’t received my order. I paid for 5-7 day shipping but it has been 12 days. It’s taken twice as long as it should have, so I should at least get a refund for the shipping cost, which was nearly the same price as my actual order 😠

Our tree and leaf unit was a teacher’s dream come true! Through integrated science and literacy centers, students practiced reading, writing, spelling, measuring, counting, art, and making observations all at once! 🤯 Oh and we had FUN! #ItsWorthIt

Before investigating our garden & documenting our observations, my students created that long list of things scientists do! Starting with students’ ideas (not mine or a textbook’s) positioned them as knowledgeable & they were so engaged that we were late for lunch! 😱 #ItsWorthIt

Our student created Number Wall is all done! If your students don’t create your classroom resources, I highly encourage you to try it! It takes a long time, but students practice math, language, art, and social skills all at once. And they are SO proud of their work! #ItsWorthIt

Our classroom feels like a home now that our Family Wall & rules are ready! 💕 I’ve been asked why my room was so empty & I said it was because the kids weren’t there yet! It’s not my room, it’s OUR room so we will design it together over time! #ItsWorthIt #ResponsiveClassroom
